History
Patricia Aguila Fuglevand attended the University of Southern California (USC), where she received two degrees concurrently in four years: B.S. in Accounting and Master of Business Taxation. While at USC, Patricia was active in Beta Alpha Psi, an accounting honors fraternity, where she served as the Vice President of Operations and the Director of Communications.
Upon graduating from USC, Patricia worked as an associate in the Downtown Los Angeles office of one of the largest national independent firms providing tax services to high net worth individuals.
After spending a few years specifically focused in the field of taxation, Patricia decided to broaden the reach of her professional expertise to other areas. She attended USD School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor Degree. While at USD, Patricia was a member of the San Diego Law Review for which she served as an Editor, and served as a research assistant to a tax and estate planning law professor. During the summertime, Patricia worked as an estate planning law clerk for a law firm.
While juggling a full-time law school schedule and other related activities, she began her own accounting practice providing small business accounting and income tax services.
Upon graduating from USD, she worked for a law firm in Long Beach where she worked as an attorney focusing on business transactions.
In previous years she was the Vice President of the Long Beach Bar Association and served on its Board of Governors She was the Treasurer of the Philippine Bar Association and the CFO of the PABA Foundation. In 2008, she was the Treasurer of the Long Beach Barristers, became the President-Elect in 2009, and served as President in 2010. She is also a member of the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants, the American Bar Association, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
